LBS Social Network with Webapps and Mobile ticketing
LBS Social Network: Sample site: http://tinyurl.com/yf7udsq The scope of the project is to merge the foursquare.com and Daily deal/Groupon.com where the user could be able to locate the daily deals and events through Google maps. They can add Friends & they could advise about the Daily deals through chat/Message with others. The site will be bilingual with Spanish /English (I will provide all data in Spanish). At the backend there will be a complete Web Administration System where the Admin can Manage Deals, Events, Users and contents online. The site comes with a suite of features that allow a user to explore an area, check-in to locations, highlight their favorite places, give a ‘shout out' to friends and meet new people. Users can log-in directly or via their Facebook account to connect with their friends on Facebook. Once logged-in, the site divides into four main sections, with information viewed on a map or as a feed: People (all friends near your current location); Places (all the nearby bars and restaurants); Events (all nearby plays, festivals, concerts and parties, which can be filtered by type and date); and Deals (all the local deal, discounts and offers from nearby bars and restaurants, hospitality, shopping, etc). The web app for the buyer to book the ticket: There will be link to buy the ticket of the event from an outside social network website built in for the same client. 3. The scanner app for tickets The scan app will run on different technology to make it more users friendly and to cover the maximum markets. We won’t be using the same QR-CODE technology for the scanning app, instead we ll be using the random no. method. In this while registration process the event manager will be given a random no. using which the tickets for the buyers will be generated. When the scanning application (another web-mob app) will be turned on his mobile, he will be asked that random no. code and so the scan app will compare each coming ticket no. with this random no according to a certain algo and he can validate the in coming person. This way we ll not need the user to have expensive iphones or android phones with great pic resolution, all they ll need is a device with nice internet connection which is widely available and make the app used widely.
