Legal Research - US Business offering equity for trade
I need about 2 hours of research for US laws and regulations as well as the process for start up companies with little to no cash offering instead equity positions in the company in exchange for an advisory role. Importance is weighed on the following subjects but any and all info is welcomed: How does the company need to be structured? (LLC, Inc, etc) What is the document process? Filing process? Are there any SEC regulations or restrictions? What is the typical calculation or value placed on this advisory role assuming the partner will only be offering advice and no financial support? A case study of other companies that have done this. Anything else of importance.
