Videoplayer Website Redesign
Hello :) I'm a documentary filmmaker, and own a film company. I have a very nicely functioning video-player website that was fully custom built NOT USING Joomla, Wordpress, etc.. The website address is: http://www.krtv.tv This is NOT a video sharing site. I only upload my own original videos here. I have a partitioned (I think) dedicated server powering the website. I am HAPPY with: 1. The way the site functions, and administration functions 2. The video player (very happy) 3. The integration of the video player and website functions with Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, etc. I am UNHAPPY with: 1. The DESIGN and BRANDING of the website 2. The connection between the video playing, and the selection of other videos available below (in other words, my ability to decide/control which videos are available below the playing video) 3. The ability to make videos play one after another 4. The location of the tabs bar on the homepage 5. What is visible before users scroll (above the fold) 6. My ability to make simple changes now that the website is built. (I can explain some details here if you are interested) My first website designer and builder did a nice job making the website function, and the videos play, but took absolutely no care in helping me design a branded product. When I had the first website design built, I was very new at this, and I made some poor decisions about design/branding. By the time was website was finished, I was already unhappy with the way the site looked. My requirements for this project: 1. A new design 2. A branded design 3. Integration of the same video player I am currently using into Wordpress 4. I'd very much like to integrate the same administration 5. A person/company that speaks fluent English 6. a speaking conversation on Skype with the person who will be doing the work before I accept your bid, so i can make a proper decision about who does this work The person/company that wins this bid should have: 1. great examples of previous videoplayer websites (not youtube, vimeo, etc.) to share as a portfolio 2. strong experience in designing and branding a website 3. great reviews of previous related work on freelancer.com 4. ability to integrate the current video player I am using (this is a must!) 5. proficiency in English 6. Skype, so we can chat by typing OR speaking whenever necessary I am looking to build a strong relationship with the person/company that wins this bid. I am interested in learning server side information so I can easily change/adjust anything I need to once the project is complete. This is important. Please visit this website. I also want greater control of administration and my ability to make changes to the site whenever I want.
